REPORTED EFFECTS OF INGREDIENT:
Wheat germ provides us with alpha tocopherol, which is the most active and the most important of the tocopherols, and beta tocopherol. The physiological role of vitamin E is its ability to react and quench free radicals in cell membranes and other lipid environments, thus preventing polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) from oxidation. The ability to significantly increase the antioxidant indicator called FRAP (iron-reducing antioxidant power), accompanied by a strong decrease in the content of reactive substances, has been well documented.
